The Citizens Commission on National Security (CCNS) was established to provide objective, fact-based analysis on the most pressing threats facing the United States. We believe that an informed citizenry is the strongest defense against tyranny and external aggression.
Founded in 2010 by a group of retired military officers, intelligence analysts, and diplomats, the Commission operates independently of any political party or government agency. Our goal is to cut through the noise of the 24-hour news cycle and deliver actionable intelligence to the public.
Our Mission
- Educate: To provide the public with clear, accurate information regarding national security issues.
- Analyze: To offer deep-dive analysis on geopolitical shifts, defense capabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Advocate: To support policies that strengthen the nation's defense and uphold the Constitution.
Leadership
Our board is comprised of distinguished individuals who have served their country in various capacities. They bring decades of experience in defense, intelligence, and foreign policy.
